Who We Are
Justin Richardson grew up in a country setting just north of Kingston,
Ontario. His love of nature and fascination with trees fostered his inspiration
for woodworking.
After moving to Ottawa to study architecture, it
became clear to him that he was equally passionate about designing as he was
being the craftsman himself. For this reason, he enrolled in the
Furniture and Cabinetmaking program at Algonquin College. Following graduation,
he continued his education with a custom woodworking shop, earning his Red Seal
designation, and eventually returning to teach in the same program he took 8
years earlier.
In 2016, he moved to Kinburn, Ontario and opened
his own woodworking shop to further pursue his craft. Finally with many years
of experience completing bathroom and kitchen renovations under his belt, he
specializes in home renovations fully complete with custom millwork and brought
his former pupil, Ally, on board the team.
Ally Penwarden is from Cambridge, Ontario. After studying ecology and
travelling Canada, she put down roots in Ottawa and began working in home
renovations, obtained her Red Seal in General Carpentry.
